Yeah I wired his gauges in, which was working fine till a while later when apparently he had an issue with his slave cylinder which gave up, which was repaired by a friend of his and the oil temp or oil pressure gauge (I can't remember which one now) had since stopped working correctly. When he next brought it round to me I had a look and the wire from the sensor in the sandwich plate was not plugged in, so plugged it in and good as gold once again. Ah right. He messaged me in regards to the warning buzzer being on at start up every time. To turn it off, you press the peak button on start up, and it then should silence this. If that doesnt work, the the gauges arent connected to a 12V constant, and they forget their setting everytime. Im not sure if it is now sorted, but thats the only reason i can think of. The start up buzzer is way too loud!!!

Although the power for the gauges are wired in to the lighter so they start up when the ignition is on. The buzzer I agree is annoying as hell.

Although the power for the gauges are wired in to the lighter so they start up when the ignition is on. The buzzer I agree is annoying as hell. Yeah, its way too loud for everday use. Basically, there is 4 wires. Earth 12V Constant (Red Wire - Fuse #38) 12V Ignition Switched (Orange Wire - Fuse #44) 12V Lights On (White Wire - Fuse #46) If the red wire is not connected to 12V Constant, the gauges loose their settings and the beep will keep coming back. The above combo make the gauges white in day and amber when the lights come on. Ive told him how to sort it, but just a heads up for you if he comes back over to you!

Also I assume you are the man who advised him that the lambda sensor thread is not at risk of being messed up 'if removed properly' ?? I beg to differ though..

I've never heard of anyone taking it out without buggering the threads. He only asked me about the gauges!
