Hey all,

2 Days ago I placed an order for an Aluminium Silver MPS which is due to arrive at the end of the month, in the mean time I have been given a Red MPS loan car.

Only problem is, I now greatly prefer the Red over Silver as it stands out and doesn't blend in with the 1000s of other silver cars on the road, plus everyone I have spoken too says the Red really suits the car.

Phoned the dealer this morning about changing colours, but the Silver car has already left the compund in central europe and is on its way, so no colour change is possible :(.

Anyway, here I am so hi everyone :).

They do look awesome in red, such a nice colour
Is it too late for a change of mind?

As said, silver looks great too, less common also?

Hello and :welcome:  The red is really nice but the silver is a bit more classier in my opinion and it looks gray in some lighting

Unfortunatly too late to change as its on its way to the UK, the dealer even asked Mazda UK.

A couple of people have said Silver will look classier, and I will probally get used to it, just having driven the red car for a couple of days it has really grown on me.

When I buy a new car, I agonise over the choice of colour. After the first couple of weeks, I am only really aware of it when I clean it. Think about it. Once you are in the driving seat, how much of the colour can you see. Same goes for instruments. I gawk at them before buying, and just after, then it's just a case of the quick glance when driving. Other ppl might study my car's appearance, but that does not concern me at all.

Quick question on gear changes on the MPS, as the first 2 gears are limited am I wanting to get into 3rd as soon as possible? at what point should I think about the change from 1st to 2nd to 3rd.

May sound like a stupid question but I am so used to the high revving civic engine lol.

There isn't a bad colour IMO, they all look great. I wouldn't have minded a silver one, would have been my second choice.

Welcome :) Read your thread on the other forum :)

Must admit.. When i was looking at getting the MPS .. there were loads and i believe still are red ones for sale on Auto Trader. Still its down to peoples opinions.. they do look good in red :) But I vouched many many years ago to never buy a red car again.. so havent! :)
