I suppose the other thing is i still have 3 years warranty, so i would have to be careful, i have been told they cannot detect remaps, i suppose it is "out of sight out of mind", any other things they could not detect, that i could start with as a remap seems to be something to do after a couple of other tweeks, how about a k&n panel filter do these make any difference and i suppose i could change this before my services, if so can you get them for mk2, cheers

warranty seems to depend on the dealer, some do not mind modifications others would use it as a reason to wriggle out of a claim.

You would have a very good case for an arguement though if your mods do not directly effect what you are claiming for, its just whether you want the aggro if that happens?

yeah see what you are saying, however i believe dealers will try and get out of things, so dont really want the aggro

I agree as unfortunately that has been my experiance as well.
