Hello There, I am now 1400 miles or so into my Mazda 6 MPS, totally std (at the moment), in the Titanium grey.........as they all are ! Loving the balance of ride v handling best combo since my RX8, loving the stereo and of course loving the power forgive me for not following forum etiquette but there are two things I would like to know about (which possibly have been done to death) which is the best IPod dock / connector system (if the Rx8 is anything to go buy this is important to get right !) and is there a forum recommended, generally tried and tested re-map / chip option for the car. Spotted my first other MPS recently too, an almost identical car near horsell (in surrey, just in case there are more of them about), Tit Grey 06 plate car being driven sensibly !! Look forward to catching up with some like minded folks Phill

Hello & Yup Xcarlink all the way. I put mine in my cupholder as you can change the tracks on steering wheel/CD unit. BTW I have the Mada 3 MPS so might be a little different. Personally I dont think the bluetooth is worth it...not the bed sound quality but the quality when plugged in with ipod and playing music is great

Did not realise I could do the bluetooth bit with it too (xcar) that would be great, not too worried about the sound quality for calls but not having to fiddle with my BB in ear stuff would be great ! Sorted then Xcar - Do we know if Halfrauds or anyone stocks these or do we just get them online ?
One box ticked - now to sort the power erm read fuel economy !! By the by what is with the trip computer, according to the trip computer I have got 17 L/100km, which equates to about 16mpg, but that did not sit right with me and working it based on actual mileage and fuel use it is more like 31mpg !!
The rx8 was lovely but just not fast enough to warrant to the 21mpg no matter what you did to it drink problem, I accept that when you plant it, it will drink but it did not seem to matter what i did it drank pretty well the same. I also had a major issue with the stereo which was fekked by someone bodging a carphone system, only it took my dealer 6 months of regular work to figure it out !
I drove a few cars back to back (megane 250, R32, Focus ST and the MPS) and I can't believe how you can get the grown up interior, great ride, and still have the handling with enough power to make the others feel a little dim witted, it's the torque the MPS seems to get up and go far earlier than the others ! Why doesn't everyone have one ??

Na as far as I know you just got to order it off the website mate!
As for your remap, a lot of people go for air intake as they are supposedly very restrictive and there are still no tuners everyone can agree on.... Spend a little time browsing the forum to see what people have done

If it is the same "average consumption" info as the 6MPS, it is "litres per 100 miles". If so, 17 = 26.7mpg.

Excellent that sounds a bit more like it, could you please post a link or explain the maths, I used a conversion tool online but it did not seem to make sense compared to my own maths based on fuel used and miles traveled (probably the best way of doing it !)
