Hi !
Im looking at changing my car for a mk1 3 mps. I currently have a citroen c4 hdi (remapped).
So i went on down to a garage where they had an 07 3 mps with 34k miles on the clock, after taking it out i can honestly say i love the car, however the brakes on this particular one seemed pretty pathetic, alot worse than my standard c4 brakes, almost to the point where i wouldnt slow down unless i slammed on. There was very little feel in the pedal to. Im unsure if they needed bleeding or what, but the discs seemed pretty new and the pads had quite a bit of meat left on them.
So im wondering if this is a characteristic of the car itself? which i doubt because it is a performance model. Or if it was just that particular specimen i drove?

Theres obviously an issue with that car, its probably been sitting on forecourt for months!

Nothing really wrong with standard brakes, certainly to the extent u are describing

Hello and :welcome: sounds as though there is a problem with that MPS, either they sort out the brakes and you test drive it again or what I would do is look for another one

Haha thanks guys, Yeh im in the process of ordering one down from up north, its lower mileage and its a good price. Hopefully the brakes will be better on this one because i was very dissapointed with the one i drove, almost went into the back of someone because the brakes would not slow the car down!

Thinking of a remap with the recirc valve, with possibly induction kit and possibly fmic. Also wondering if its possible to add an aftermarket Usb port to plug mp3 player into, or a bluetooth module to play music through?

There is a xcarlink thingy that plugs in the back of stereo and works with all steering controls that a lot of people use.
I would like to know if it works with the iphone 4??
