Hi all, My name is Paul as you may have guessed I'm from Essex and I am about to buy a 6 MPS hopefully on Sunday I will be viewing 2 of them, a silver one and a black one. Black one has done 34k miles, the silver one has done 84k but has a brand new engine in it that was replaced by mazda at 70k So any suggestion as what I need to be looking for? I am hoping that the one with the new engine will have the updated turbo so if there is some kind of verification number for that particular engine that would be good to know. I will post some pics on if and when I get it.

hi and welcome generally you are looking out for all the "normal" things when buying a MPS as you would when buying any car. there is a small list of known faults on another topic in the forum have a quick search and you should find ok ( i would post the link but I am typing on phone at moment so process is slow!) Someone should be along soon with the other info you need......... .

Thx Guys, I'm from sunny Basildon or Bas vegas as some ppl like to call it (never worked out why) We have a good tuner scene in the area. I was originally a member of Team TT don't know if any of you have heard of them.

No I don't know yet but the previous owner was Bank of Scotland so I think they just had it done to keep it fresh. I will be picking lots of holes and probing with lots of questions. Good thing is that it was Mazda who done the engine change so there should be some sort of warrenty on it.

deltalimamike - Yeah its the very same one well worth a look if Bank of Scotland had the engine changed I would imagine it was because it was clocking up so many miles. I'll be giving it a good look
