I'm Mike, I currently own a 53 Milano Red Civic Type R but am looking to move on to a 3 MPS at some point before the summer. I'll be looking at a 07/57/08 plate. A couple of questions if you don't mind... Is there a buyers guide? What's the difference in an 'Aero' and non 'Aero'? Thanks, Mike.

Welcome to the forum. Have a look in the 3 section, there should be things to check for in there. Aero has, different springs, maybe shocks as well, but could be wrong. It has cheap looking M3 mirrors and a larger spoiler. Maybe some other stick on bits too.

Thanks guys, I'm thinking it'll be a black or grey tbh... Like the White too! Is there a buyers guide? Things to check/look out for when buying?

You need to check the normal things when buying a used car, nothing specific to the 3 MPS really. If you are allowed to floor it on the test drive you may get a puff of smoke in the mirror ,but this is normal. check for service history etc. and if one comes up for sale on here there may be some history of the car on the site which can help.

I just picked up a white one on Saturday and love it... good luck finding another white one... Have you driven one yet? I had a CTR many moons ago back in 03’ and the 3MPS totally different beast

Yeah I drove one before I bought my last CTR.. Not as fun as the CTR but comfier, 4 doors, big power and Bose sound system is just up my street ATM... I'm 25 and it's time for something more mature! Can the aero wing mirrors be changed to standard easy enough?

Hello & As said above the Aero model boasts the larger rear spoiler, aero wings and the eibach springs which drops the front slightly more than the rear giving it a slight 'touring car look' as one report said I read. (cant remember the actual amount) I believe the early models may suffer turbo issues with weak seals and the wheels are prone to corrosion / bubbles but have a 3 year warranty, so might be worth checking for that if its out with warranty period! Hope you find a good example

Turbo issues? I don't want to be hearing that!! Is there any way of checking? Oil burning... Service history? I was under the illusion they are very reliable cars!?

They are reliable cars in general. They will be any number of problems you'll need to look at with any manufacturer
