Hi, I'm new to the site after picking up a new 3 MPS a couple of weeks ago. After a brief stint with a Clio 200 Cup, following on from a couple of Impreza STI's, I hankered for more grunt and another turbo'd motor and the MPS certainly ticks all the boxes. Hope you like.

love the clio ;) was that pic in the lakes??
how come such a brief stint with the clio?
i had a r27 from new but as good fun as the car was the fuel economy was worse than the mps! so ended up trading it in for an mps 3 years ago... then changed to a few other cars and now back to a mps

Thanks for the welcome. jamie MPS wrote: love the clio ;) was that pic in the lakes??

i had a r27 from new but as good fun as the car was the fuel economy was worse than the mps! so ended up trading it in for an mps 3 years ago... then changed to a few other cars and now back to a mps Clio pic was from Snowdonia last October. Had it from new for just over a year. Fantastic handling car and I got it dirt cheap but it just didn't feel that special and lacked the grunt that you get from a turbo. Like yours, the MPS is returning pretty similar fuel economy to the Clio which is surprising and a bit of a bonus. I'm chuffed to bits with the MPS (apart from less than perfect paintwork but I understand that this is typically Japanese) and it'll definitely be a keeper.

Thanks for the kind welcome guys. Yes my later Impreza was a 280 bhp Spec D which was standard and a fantastic car (much better than the earlier models without a centre diff) but was proving very pricey to run. The 3 feels almost as quick to be honest and I'm very happy with it. The black is taking a bit of getting used to though as it seems to mark so so easily - perhaps I should stop looking at it so much! The only 'downside' is that after just one day on this forum, I'm already thinking of modifying! I'm loving Norton's thread with the RX8 R3 wheels - a subtle change I know but they seem to fill the arches so much better. Just out of curiosity, anyone know what offset the 18" Phs 2 wheels are? Darren

Norton wrote: Think the standard ofset is either 52 or 55 Thanks mate. If you don't mind me asking, what offset are the 19's?; are they a straight swap?; is yours on standard suspension and do you have any more pics? Sorry for all the questions but you've really got me thinking now.
