My name is Paul and I'm looking for my next car... I really like the look of the 2nd gen 3!

I'm origanally a Honda man.. Still have a 1990 CR-X running a GTX3071R at 1 bar and 356whp.. Only thing stopping me pushing it to 500 is the stock bores. But anyway I'm on a Mazda forum now!!

Basically, I normally look for how a car can be cranked up and how efficent the engine is (not like a VW running 20psi and only making 200bhp)

I like the fact its a closed deck block, that's one thing that made me think of selling my daily beater scooby... I'm a technical person and love to get stuck in..

Realistically I'll be looking to make a purchurse around this time next year. I want to save enough money to buy a nice example and instantly pull the engine and forge along with all the supporting mods to run around or just under 400whp and 400wtq. Is this realistic? Surley a 2.3L displacement should be able to produce that?

I do have a question... Gearbox's.. Are they man enough for the higher power output? Will I need stronger 5/6th gear kits?

I made 432whp in my 6MPS so in a 3MPS it would be easier. Gearboxes are strong and no problems here as yet. Stock injectors run out of steam around the 360whp mark..... I use meth injection to gain the fuelling headroom I need to allow me to run more boost but there are auxiliary fuelling kits that add a 5th/6th injector should you want to go that route.

Thanks for the welcome fella's.. As for injectors I assume it's as easy just to swap out for another set? I'm running ID1000's (1000cc) in the CR-X so would look to use 750's I'd imagine.

Ahh... Direct injection aint they? How does that effect replacements of injectors?
