Hi all, have recently purchased a mk1 3 with a few goodies on it off another mpsoc member also from Guernsey.

Must say I love the car and am quite surprised how capable it is!!!
I have had a few fast jap motors in the past but had to go down the sensible route for a few years. Finally im back in a position to have a fun car again and am looking forward to spending some pennies on it!!

I am pretty sure there is an issue with the chain as its noisy on cold start up and sometimes be noisy during continued use. There is also a smell of oil within the cabin on occasion and in the last 2 months burnt 1ltr of oil.

I will be trawling the forum for some answers and no doubt be asking some newb questions so please be gentle!

Current parts on the car:
BC - BR coilovers
Streetunit race rear engine mount
both cats deleted
Forge cola air intake
Forge recirc
Forge FMIC
Versatuner

Im not quite sure how to put pics up other wise I would?

Many thanks in advance for all your help
