These cars can't be run with a bov, you need a recirculation valve as the air is metered and the air to fuel ratio is then calculated by the ecu so you can't afford to dump it I'm afraid.

Would a recirculation valve achieve a similar sound to a bov? I want to be able to hear the turbo nice and loud. Forgive me if I am asking stupid questions, my knowledge of how cars work is a little weak.

Yes but you need to have a stage 2 intake to make the most of it :)

Hey dude,

Yeah as above the 4500 for a modified might be wishfull thinking, sold my pretty much stock silver last week for that.
As for the BBR mapped one... the first step would've been to remove the BBR map :p

What your wanting seems to be...
SRI+TIP, if you want louder I'd go metal, Corksport or JBR widepath
As for your BOV, as spammy states you need a recirc, Forge V2 or a GFB Respons should get the type of noise your after.
The power, Versatune or a COBB AP and speak to the tuning messiah Justin (DJJUT) abotu hat you're looking for.
Wheels, RX-8 ones do suit these well imho a few hundred should see you with a fully refurbed set or a stock set and refurb em.
Theres a lot of nice wheels available but I couldn't bring myself to pay 60 for alloys that needed a refurb :p
I'd also throw in a REM tbh

Good choice on the red :D

50miles
I travelled from Newcastle to Sheffield for my red one.
The chap I sold mine to travelled from Ireland and I'm sure some have travelled pretty much the length of the country for theirs.

With them being few and far between you might find it hard, if however you find one at a dealer that you're interested in and they willing to transport it to you I'm sure if you ask on here someone local will pop along and give it the once over for you :)

i knwo it won't be the cheapest option but have you looked at mazda's own used car locator?

I guess I didn't consider these options. Getting a mazda 6 expert to check it first could be a life saver! I would be happy to do a 10 hour trip to pick up a new car but not to check it out and find out it is rubbish.
