Hi all, My name is Dan im 31, ive yet to get an MPS, however this has become my next target ;-) at present i drive a beemer its ok but pretty boring. ive previously been a member of car forums for preludes, golf gti's and my old impreza. So, the MPS. Im currently looking at the 6 mps, basically i see the car as a means to fulfill everything i need from a car. enough space for 3 kids (and the missus) refined, boot enough for golf clubs, comfortable, unasuming and potential. basically this will become not only my means of transportation but a weaponised toy for me to enjoy after dropping the kids at school. Ill be a bit in the back ground just reading and doing my home work for a little while as i save some pennies and decide what routes i want to go down and which car to buy. but ill pop up periodically. for me historically car forums have proved to be not only a mass of information but a fun community of like minded people sharing a pasion and generally abusing each other :-) im hoping this forum is of the same ilk. so in summary, Hi thanks for having me ill read lots probably ask lots then buy a car and let the costly fun begin.

The 6 is a great car. I know a good friend who is about to put his 6 up for sale soon, well cared for and he likes to detail it so is nice and shiny too He's on here too, I'll notify him that you're looking

I picked up mine @ 32 replacing a standard 54 plate 6 beforehand, similar position to yourself, wife, 2 kids, needed something to deal with them but with enough to keep me interested. 2 Years on, still puts a grin on my face

The biggest problem with acquiring a 6MPS is finding a good one. They are very rare especially if you want a "low" tax version. Prepare to travel.

Hi and welcome along. I was I exactly the same boat as you. I'm 32 with 2 kids and another on the way. I wanted a car to tick all the boxes and I believe the 6 is about as close as I can get for sub 10k. I also planned on waiting a couple of months before purchasing one but within two days of joining I had found one to close to miss out on! I played the we need awd for safety during winter card on the missus and it seemed to work!

My wife is not a fan of my 6MPS but she does like the AWD after we got caught in some appalling winter conditions a few years ago. She couldn't believe how good the traction was.
