Hey,

Just joined, I'm hoping to be a Mazda 3 MPS (mk1 aero) owner soon! Currently own an E46 M3 and only had it for a few month's, i just can't get on with it! Massively overrated IMO although, i have owned JAP car's all my life and this was my first switch.
My car before the M3 was a highly tuned Civic Type R (EP3) and i miss it, hopefully the MPS is the right choice this time and i can keep it a lot longer. I have booked a test drive on the weekend so fingers crossed i like it!
Five door's, big boot, Bose system, turbo, JAP oh and... LSD as standard is what got me interested.
Looking forward to getting back in a hot hatch soon
Cheers, Dan.

It just doesn't feel quick mate, it's heavy and a little boring. Spent money on a remap at Evolve and it made 350bhp but still, i have never really been happy with it. Got a fast road set up, short shifter and it improved a little but i still don't see myself keeping it much longer.

Thanks everyone for the welcome

:welcome: to the :mpsoc: Dan!

About time (snow) to switch a rwd with even faster fwd, very wise

Type R is only 201 bhp and Mps 3 is 254 bhp out of the box, and one doesn't need to rev the crap out until vtec kicks in. Mps 3 boosts from as low as 3k rpm!

That, and some mps 3 owners reached the pinnacle of mods with over 500 bhp!! :ihih:

Enjoy :D

Welcome to the :mpsoc:

Funny you should say that about the E46 M3, my friend has a massive soft spot for one, but I think I'd be in the boat your in, you can't beat a little boost :D

Hi and welcome along. Quite alot of us have come from type r's and the difference is astounding. I was looking at m3's and 350z too but went for the mps in the end. Would still have an m3 for the noise though!

Hello and :welcome: along. Did you say you remapped it to 350 bhp? I thought they were 340 bhp standard? Only 10 bhp from a remap? Shocking!

The E46 M3 is Naturally Aspirated so gains from any kind of map will be very minimal compared to a car such as ours that is Forced Induction
