Hello everyone, I'm going to look at this car today. http://www.quarryhillcars.co.uk/used/ma ... e/15502832. It has been up for sale for some time and the price has dropped by £1000. However it has got 84000 miles on the clock. Does anyone recognize the Reg number ? I've had a few Impreza's and VXR's in the last 20 years so I am used to the running costs and have read up what to check for on mps's. What are they like in the snow? Up here in the hills of Derbyshire we do get of the white stuff. Hope to see you all at a meet soon. Hazel.

to the Hazel. That's a very good price for a mps 3 imho, normally they sell for over 8k. Does it have a full service history and was the vvt changed? If it snows a lot and lots of corners then I'd recommend a mps 6 instead, but I'd be biased of course.

A 6 would also be a lot cheaper with that mileage. But after scoobies and vxr`s you might find the 6 a bit of a barge on Derbyshire back roads. Maybe a 3 on winter tyres is an option. Would get advice on that from other 3 owners.

Welcome! That car is only a few miles away from me. Let us know how the viewing goes.
A 6 might make more sense, but you may be ok in a 3 with good winter tyres I guess, and a very steady right foot!

Sadly the car was not available for viewing and the garage owner was quite rude. I think I'll give this one a miss.
Oh well back to Pistonheads, Autotrader, Motors and E-bay. Anyone got one for sale near me in Derbyshire ?
Thanks for all your welcome's.

Hazel Did they give any reason for not being able to view the car? Fishy indeed, if you're not in a rush looking out for sale here is actually a good idea. My old car was falling into pieces, hence rushed into securing current one for being so close to home.
