Hi I bought this Mazda 3 a month ago, it's had some work done before i bought it, induction kit, exhaust & a remap. it's got a total mps sticker on the dash so i think they may have done some work on it. the remap is brutal when you put your foot down all that happens is a load of torque steer and the traction control lights flash so you have to lift off to move any where even when it's dry, in the wet its a liability! is this normal? or should i get a smoother remap? or is there somthing i can do to improve traction. i'm new to modded cars so any advice is welcome! this car makes me smile every time i drive it but i need it to stop trying to kill me every time i boot it!

it is kind of all or nothing below 3000 rpm it stutters, after 3000 it's like a bucking bronco!!
could you recommend anyone who could do the remap Cambridgeshire area?
I'm a total noob when it comes to mods so i could do with someone who knows what they're looking at and can tell me what's be done then i can figure out what needs to happen next!
i would like it to definitely beat scoobies but is it realistic to beat s5 and m3 in a front wheel drive?

Ye that torque comes in pretty fast .
There are better tuners out there but total mps isnt the worst out there imo with minimal mods anyway

Most of us here use Cobb access port or versatune, then use justin to tune us via emails, he's fone circa 100 mps's and he's fantastic at it

thanks!
sorting the mapping is my first priority then, i'll look through some of the threads rather than repeat questions you've all heard before!!
i'm looking forward to my first project i think this is going to get expensive!

To the forum mate. At least you know who mapped what Can't believe anyone from South will drive all the way oop here for Total mps tuning, was the previous owner from the North? I know less about engines and modding than you do, but this might give you the heads up for what might be next mate. viewtopic.php?f=20&t=20585
