Hi all apologies for crashing in on the forum, Like every one here I'm a bit of a car nut and currently building my second car, which is basically a mid engined caterham type car, a scratch built chassis, supercharged duratec engine mated to a 3 MPS gearbox, huge brakes, 600kgs, 400bhp and hopefully some huge cahoonas,... Build thread here if anyone wanted to take a browse. http://www.midlana.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=505Dropping by in the hope for some much needed gearbox advice from all you good people I'll post up my query in the appropriate section in a minute if that's ok. I guess pictures are obligatory, so one of the engine for my current build and previous car. Thanks all

I'll be keeping my eye that build. Always fancied doing something like that but I'll need to get educated first. I.e put myself through a mechanics course.

Thanks all for the welcome, I've sussed my immediate problem, the hardrace left hand engine mount goes on sticker face down. I just need to find a bolt and build the chassis to suite.
Has anyone done a single mass flywheel conversion on the 3? if so what did youi do with the clutch?

I have a single mass flywheel, if you go for the fidanza it will mate straight up to the stock clutch

Skipper wrote: I have a single mass flywheel, if you go for the fidanza it will mate straight up to the stock clutch Sadly the bolt patern and spigot hole is different, looks like the fidanza is the same thickness as the dmf, might have to look into spacing the thrust bearing closer to the fiesta single mass flywheel. Thanks all again for a warm welcome, appreciated.
