im mazz, in sunny swindon and currently have an old 323 (or 8) and im helping a good friend find the right car for her.
shes taken a liking to a nice sporty red mps 3, and its only down the road from me.
i have spotted a club sticker on the window and that has brung me to here.

dose anyone know this car?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/321367089391?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT

if so what history dose it hold?

im off to look at it tomorrow and see about giving it a good test drive and reporting back to my mate on if its a goer or not.

spanks :)

going back on the weekend (hopefully its still there) and take my mate with me.
it was good and there is room to negotiate the price.

one thing that has unsettled us about the car is the damn price of the tax, £485 for a year!! Iv brought cars for less then that!

the sales guy didn't know what to make of me as i put the car through a lengthy vigorous road test. the sales guy kept looking over to Rob thinking it was to do with him and tried diverting the convo his way, but it got reflected back to me with the comments of "shes in charge and knows what she wants"
it got a bit twitchy coming off a corner onto a duel carriage way, but i smiled as it reminded me of my legnum vr4 :panic:
I also went over the body work and interior of the car with a fine tooth come and found a few things that will require some attention, only cosmic things such as scuffed plastics around the drivers footwell but still. and yes i know its a 57 plate. but im picky at the best of times and i did grill the guy over this. also the tyres will have to be changed as i like to call them ditch finder specials,
fronts on kymho's and rears are... nankang's :chin:

but driving this is really making me want one of my own. maybe even the 6mps??? i will need to find one and test drive it.
iv got another question, that i should of asked first off, but what sort of fuel is best for these cars? 95ron or 99+ron?

cheers :hats:

*edit*
this one i seen today has H&R springs and whats the DSC button do?

97RON+ iirc mate
as for the turbo 4WD.... yeah treat yourself to a 6 ;) technically its AWD tho
I've heard good stuff about some of the Kuhmos and those nankang NS1's are meant to be pretty decent, price put me off tho.

as for tax... yup :(
Only thing you can do about that is buy an early 06 (or prior) 6mps or a Mk2 3mps brings it down to 285ish

4 show cars, a daily and a toy... and you tell us this without pics? :p
Pics! :panic: lol

Mazz.... and Rob...... and a collection of cars..... Sounds familiar - you wouldn't happen to have had a bit of a thing for VR4s? And post on OutlawJapClub under the name "mesobitchy" would you?

Oh and they should only be run on 98 RON or better - so VPower or Tesco Momentum are the ones you're after.

 it appears i have been caught red handed.....

ok thats cool, makes no difference to me on the super stuff :) used to that with my beasty.

thanks for the info on the years for better taxing :)

and ok ok, here we go, some old pics of my super legnum vr4.
this was last year at combe, it is currently off the road undergoing a rebuild as the gearbox shat it self

Image
Image

this is my lantis 323, one of 8 in the uk.
it was got as a scrap non rolling shell, iv since built it back up as it works out it only has 43k miles and a stack of history and all the places its been in the world :)
it is now in bits again as several cars in the fleet required parts, this car will see the road again soon as i get a new windscreen as some scrote axed it. : vmad :

Image

this one is the model before the green one and is a long sore tale.
this car, i know the past 4 owners and have worked on it before when i had its twin. and its taken me 6 years to get my hands on this as a replacement for kitt.
iv not done any work to this yet, but i plan to do a ground up restoration with this old gal

Image

next up is my late grandads 1977 merc.
in desperate need of love and care restoration, it will get it soon. but for now she sleeps.
