Hi All!! Very glad to finally be the proud owner of a True Red MK1 3 MPS Aero! Absolutely love the car, will be keeping it for a long time so I thought I'd better introduce myself Bound to be needing your expertise haha. Any other members/meets around the leamington/west midlands area?? Would be good to see what other people have done to their cars! Driving the car home, I noticed a fairly quiet (but definitely noticeable) knocking noise when changing gear. Could this be an engine mount? I've read that most people replace the factory REM. Thanks

Knocking noise could be a few things tbh, arb bushes, drop links, top strut mounts are the main things that cause knocking but could be any of the bushes really, as you suggest it could be the rem too. to the btw

Most of those would knock when steering/going over bumps wouldnt they? This only seems to be when selecting a gear. sternritter wrote: I'd organise a west mids meet but it seems most of the guys ain't on the forum lol.

Think I may have seen you today! Driving towards sainsburys past the mazda garage around lunch time? How is the versatuner? Yes this would have been me, I work not far from there. Versatuner is excellent, really transforms the power delivery and is so flexible! I have made so many little adjustments especially in regards to light load conditions.... I'd recommend it to anyone as the first upgrade. The only problem is that you keep wanting more and more.... dangerous See you around...
