Hi all, name: Iain Mills, Hometown: Glasgow. I've just bought myself a Mk1 Aero Sport MPS, its definitely not standard and was wondering if it was anyone on here that has previously owned it, in my opinion it's an outstanding example, but i'll let you all make that judgement call, heres some pics: Cheers

Cheers! I'm technically not Glasgow i'm Bishopbriggs, but 6 and half a dozen! :ninja:
Em the current mods are: Corksport Full exhaust including downpipe Corksport full induction kit Forge Dump valve ACT Clutch kit with streetlite flywheel Deatsch Werk fuel pump BTR injectors Remap not 100% sure on who exactly, the guy said something about ECUtek?.... But ive never heard of them! And lastly some H&R springs i think, just know they're a dark blue, so an educated guess tells me H&R
Its currently got the common leaky turbo seals, so i've been looking about at maybe a GT2871R but the guy i'm talking to says it cant happen without forged rods, and all this and all that, but i know i can simply have the boost on the map turned down to ensure its not running too much until, if i choose to, forge it so ive been considering a new rebuilt stock unit. Not quite sure what to do lol. After thats sorted i'll run it for a bit and see how i feel about going for more power, wanna keep it as stock looking as possible cause not many people know of the MPS so its in a way, a sexy sleeper!
And no offence but i would never look at buying a Mazda 3....... But seeing it in white seems to do it for me, after i told myself i'd never buy a white car, it's wierd how that works, 2 things i dont like can become the one thing i fall in love with.....
About the private reg, i'm not sure, dont think it was by the owner i bought it off of. I picked it up from Coventry.

About the private reg, i'm not sure, dont think it was by the owner i bought it off of. I picked it up from Coventry. The block can run a gtx28 fine, it's all in the tune and controlling that torque. Go for the turbo and a cobb access port (mapping device) and get Justin (DJJUT) to map you via email. He's the ducks nuts.

Again, cheers for the comments guys! Plans are keep it simple just now, poly bushes all round, strut braces, 8-pots front, 4 pots back, Maybe some wheel spacing, or some Rotas not sure yet, and just a set of intergrated boost/presure/temp gauges on the upper dash. So the GTX28 would be fine? How many poeple are running one? I've heard of quite a few loosing rods due to upgraded turbos, or have these guys gone for GT30's etc? I might go for that then! And is it the Cobb Access V3, found on Total-MPS? Dont mean to sound cheap but will Justin charge for the map by e-mail? Just trying to budget the now, i've got a bad habbit of blowing all my money on cars and i could do it soo easy on this one!

Looks really nice! With all the mods you currently have, you could check how much power and torque you are running before seeking more??

The dyno run i got with it says 329 at the fly, 290 at the wheels, Peak torque is sitting at 333 but i'm not gonna be convinced till i sort the turbo leak and get it on the Rollers at my old work! I'm just gonna go for the standard replacement turbo just now anyway as i'm pretty strapped for cash atm, and i've got insurance at the end of the month! If i'm keep it long run (which i really think i will) i'll got forged internals and bigger turbo so i'll leave the GG28 till then.
