Thanks for advice guys. So Cobb ap and versatune seem to be the most popular, is the hypertech unit any good ?

I think I'll be on the lookout for a second hand sri, tip and intercooler if they come up, just to keep costs down actually.

Well I'm actually a Geordie lad but I now live in Whitworth, just past Healey Corner to be precise. So not to far away.

In it's day, hypertech was great. But now far better devices are available, ie the Cobb & versa.
My best mates are Geordies, I go up a fair bit like, it's a canny place :D

Yeah whitworth isnt far at all.
Always up for saying hi to new members face to face.

Yeah mate sounds good to me, I'll be over Rochdale way on the 14th December for 3 weeks. I'll bring my notepad and pen with hundreds of mps questions, mostly tuning haha, I am a bit of a noob to the Mps.

If it's of any interest my last car was a vw bora 2.8v6 4 motion and before that was a 2003 civic type r.... Damn them things are expensive to tune.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys.

To keep you lot updated, just purchased my self a hypertech unit for a very reasonable price last night.

Hopefully this works well on my standard car until I get my self a CS SRi and Tip... $219 new.

Anybody know how much this will cost me inc import tax. .?

A stage 2 sri/tip direct from corksport to your door will cost you around £230-40, as for hypertech its a bit hit or miss for each car but hopefully be a hit for you, alot of people on here will tell you that their a waste of money, you should of kept the cash to go towards a cobb ap :slap: :D

Congratulations on the new car. I had a Mazda6 MPS until a few months ago. It is a fantastic car. I absolutely loved it, but the reality is that I cannot afford two cars at once, so something had to go. I traded it for a M7 because the deal was just amazing. I really want to own a M8, but I just haven't been able to find one that I liked and could afford. I could see myself with a MPS again. I loved the overall space and ride. It makes for a great every day car. Anyway, congrats on the new purchase! I have no doubt you are going to love the new car!
