Haha I've got to say this is one of the best forums I've been on nice and laid back with banter :)!

I'm gona have the money to buy these bits for then and a map straight away as i know how temperamental turbo cars are when you start playing with free flowing exhausts and stuff so that's all good :).

Just hope one comes up soon that's worth buying,I can't wait to have one! They look a real comfy car to drive and te interior looks mint.

I love the fact there rare too...screw the normal Vxr/focus st lot these are way better lol!

haha that's the spirit, there is two ST's down my road and a VXR where i work, so yeah very common!,

MPS is the better car in my opinion anyway.

I've a list of what I'm gona buy which are

Tmic
Intercooler pipes and return
2nd decat
Down pipe decatted
or
Down pipe catted
Forge recirc valve
Fuel pump internals
Pod and gauges
Corksport Air filter

This is more or less once I've the car I'm ordering all the bits apart from the gauges as a map is more important...

Don't want a focus or a st even if there quicker as the mazda looks the b*****ks and if individual :)

Erm the list I gona be doing all at once hopefully..I should have about 2,000 to do engine mods.

Then I will save and do the brakes and wheels.
Then anti roll bar/suspension bits..

I don't drive like a complete twat so brakes should be fine..I want 4 pot calipers so just research and then buy it lol..

Its cheap to do but the fuel pump internals and stuff is well expensive!

My car sold yesterday and I'm going to look at a mps at the weekend.

Fingers crossed I drive it home!

Can anyone recommend weather I should go catless or get a catted down pipe? I dunno what to do :(.

People keep saying don't get one as it fucks the turbo others say it don't.one is very expensive and the other is far cheaper to do..

I was gona do the catted down pipe but it's just mega expensive!

Will it mess with any sensors with a catless down pipe and 2nd decat.i will have a Cobb v3 ap to upload a stage 2 its map to get it running ok as it will have a intake too and total mps tmic.oh plus forge bpv and fuel pump internals.

Any advise is welcome

catless doesn't mess up your turbo - just stops hiding it if your turbo is indeed fooked as the cat stops the smoke getting out to warn you that it's on its way out.

And catless also means needing a friendly MOT guy as technically not having the correct number of cats is an MOT fail.

YMMV.

I have a friendly mot man, that's not an issue it's the seals I've been told not to go catless which is worrying me lol.

I would be quite happy to go catless as then I can do what I want with my budget.

I'm correct if I go catless and upload a stage 2 map even ots it will be safe while I log and get just on to tweak the map?

Hi Dude! Welcome!

Another mod (cheap one at that) is the rear engine mount. No time at all to fit, but will stop your engine bouncing around, especially as you are chasing a bit of power!

I love my mk1, great car, you wont be disapointed!

It's been posted up a few times that going catless doesn't affect your seals. The seals are a bit rubbish anyway, but in the case where there is a problem the cat's presence masks it by cleaning up the smoke that would otherwise be released, at least until it gets much worse.

Going catless just means that if the seals have gone, then it will be more obvious. Hope that helps...
