Hi there guys and girls. I have decided to get on the 6 mps train! If I can find one I like! Will be looking over the coming months...not many about! The last few years have been house/family orientated. I had an Integra DC5, but sold it when we moved to a bigger house and the mortgage doubled! Then we had a baby 2 year ago...so we currently share a Mazda 3 Takara...been impressed with how easy this car has been. Now my lady is going back to work full time and will be doing more miles...she wants a wee 'supee mini'...and Ive been left to get myself a sporty family car! The 6 seems to be the answer to my small problem of sporty vs. monthly food shop/family days out! Im in a small town called Millom, Cumbria. Lookin forward to reading some info and preparing myself!

mate. Such a shame you where 1 week to late, one of the best examples has just been totally stripped down as the seller couldn't find a buyer, it was owned by a member on here who is an awesome mechanic and no £ was spared on it, and he lives in Ambleside, now thats unlucky.

Good luck with your search. Also consider the 3 mps has plenty room for the family and a little bit quicker.

Cheers peeps.
I decided on a 6 over a 3 as I wanted a bigger car...we have a 3 just now, and while I really like the look of the MPS, I want more room! Was tempted to go back to a DC5 but the prices are daft.
A 6 mps seems to offer both family room and an engine that will give me a giggle from time to time...although running costs may be a bit higher!
So, I gather there is a VVT/chain problem to look out for?! Any other common issues to look out for? It seems these cars are generally well looked after...we'll see.
I like them most in black...but also like that gunmetal type of color...is it silver? Or grey? Cant make my mind up from the images I have seen.

The other main problem is smoke on extended idle. To test, run the car on an extended idle once it has been warned up. Turbo seals but not the whole story.
6MPS are either red, black, moist silver or titanium grey.

Damon is about to sell his white one (resprayed) and it is an excellent example and is running decent power, with a 5th injector which he's about to put on it'll be 500+ ponies
