So after being on the forum for like 6 months or watever and waiting for probation to complete at work i have finally got my MPS yesterday. however all is not well ....... On the intial test drive i noticed the tracking was severely out (pulling to the left), i said fix it and il buy it. The salesman said ye aslong as its just the tracking and nothing major .Fast forward to yesterday i was like a kid , honestly i wasnt as excited when i graduated uni . So all the paperwork was signed , i had the small matter of waiting till 3 (45 mins wait) until my insurance kicked in , so i sat on the car park watching breaking bad. So as soon as 3 hit ,i pulled off grinning like a t w a t , first thing the TPM warning came on , then i noticed the tracking was even WORSE than last week. Angry wasnt the word , i was so dissapointed it was unreal.Anyway i rang the company that did the tracking , they said ye it was spot on ( i had the results in my had) however the car was never test driven. So said bring it down and they will have a look at it ,bare in mind i have done about a mile in the car by this point. I ended up at the same street in a different town ,so decided to ring the salesman up at mercedes and tell him tthe car is not fit for purpose. I bring it back, one of there mechanics come out with me and confirm the fault. they swap the tyres over just in case it was one of them , and still the same result . 35 mins later the salesman comes over and says you have two options: 1. full refund 2. take a merc for the week while they fixed it . i proposed a 3rd option ,take it to mazda in wolves and let them fix it.As they are independent from yourselves and they know the car .I got mercedes to pay for the work ,and for my travel costs to work for however long it takes. so my dad will take it in on monday for me. gutted isnt the word right now..... so thats were i am at the moment...

That's pants mate. A can't get my head round that fact that the car wasn't road tested after the tracking was done. On the plus side at least the car is going to Mazda to get fixed

i raised that lad , excuse was the guy is 50 aint a test driver. so i said ,if you take something to get the tracking done , you wait and you take it back .Yet there is no difference what does that tell you ?
couldnt answer me .
end of the day , they will lose money on this car now . They kept raising the refund idea though so they dont get bit. I got them to right a contract out on company header paper of what is going to happen next.So my costs can be paid back.
Im gonna go to enterprise this afternoon and see what i can get next week . something DSG and diesel

Can only feel sorry for you, mate. The un-professionalism of some main dealers used to shock me. Not any more.

The thing that I notice is that the company that did the tracking was not Mercedes? and was an independant garage of some sort? Sooo... like you said, surely someone would have (test) driven it there, and then back to Mercedes when the work was done.....?
Even a muppet could see the issue was still there.

Hope it's sorted soon fella. At least they are doing the work or the bill so to speak. Will be worth it when it's done. Just checking wasn't torque steer LOL.

I got 405 miles from a tank driving to London cruising at 68 mph, occasionally at 75 mph. I tend to get between 26-29 mpg town driving, changing gears between 2000-2500 rpm; 3rd/4th for 20 zone, 5th gear for 30 zone, 6th for anything above 40

I will just carry on driving off boost , its not the cost of the fuel as work pay for it .Its the rate of which it goes . I only want to fill it once a week for work ,plus i dont think work will like a £500 a month fuel bill .Most people do about £350 so thats my limit i would say.

When I got mine, bought from stoke on trent and thought 35 mpg not bad. Its seems that motorways like the mps cos all I get now is 23mpg on the MFD and actual is 20mpg. Don't hammer it but do short journeys and when on longer ones then drive it hard to make me feel better Have thought about Audi S5 as that can't be much worse with 4.2 V8 can it? lol!
