Good evening all, put a deposit down saturday on a 58 plate Mk1 3 MPS in Cosmic Blue, personally I really like the colour. Picking the car up on the 12th so very much looking forward to ownership! However not so much the road tax which is out at the end of the month. I'm undecided at the moment what modifications to make if any, so currently reading my way through the forums learning this that and the other. I'm very much one for OEM+ so interested to see/hear of other peoples cars with that in mind.

Cheers, Will - from Somerset

Good luck staying standard when these cars love a tweak and are so much better with a map.

Thank you all for the warm welcome! :) here's the website of the dealership I bought the car from, you can see all the pictures there - homelesscars.com. Aha well if it's not the fastest colour it's definitely the best looking after a good polish :ppp:

As for mods the clear rear fog is definitely one I will be doing.. only found one on ebay from america which costs around £80 once you take into account import charges and delivery. Think i'll hold on for that one! Was wondering if it would be possible to dismantle the units and swap the lens out of a reverse light unit.. But not sure i can be bothered with that.

Remaps are very tempting.. Just worried with my track record of cars and reliability of something going wrong!
