Hi folks names Gary and am from Paisley. Decided after almost 2 years of owning a mk1 2.0 sport and having awesome fun with it, to take the jump to a Mk2 MPS. I spotted this for sale up in Dundee and jumped at the chance to go for a test drive in it. Car apparently arrived in the showroom on Friday, went to see it on Monday and had 7 people already interested in it. Quote: http://www.struans.co.uk/used-vehicles/search/1256/mazda-3 Had a look over it, engine sounded solid on idle, turbo didn't seem to be blowing smoke and it gave me a huge grin when I gave it a little beens on the test drive . Drove straight and true and under heavy braking didn't pull to the side or give any wheel wobble at all. Few paint chips on the front bumper and on the door handle, good few scratches around the inside of the doors but nothing that a little tlc and a good cut and polish won't sort out. Full mazda history too completed at the correct yearly intervals which was good to know. Anyway put a deposit down and just in time as 30mins later while sitting chatting a customer phoned asking if it was still available! Pick it up next Monday to drive it home WOO!! Cannot wait for that drive home, will be grinning the whole way i am sure. So some questions am gonna fire out if you don't mind as I hope to become an active member on the forum as reading through some posts you seem like a nice gentle bunch of chaps Any member on here the previously owner of it? If so anything I should know about it? Is their anything else I should of looked out for? Any recommendations to simple starting mods or advice on driving the car are greatly welcome. Anyway I like to rant on a bit so will stop now GaZZ.

Thanks for the welcome folks. Plenty of fellow Scots around anyway which is nice to see . sternritter wrote: dam i rang up about this ,was going to go down on friday. O well the hunt continues for me Gutted mate :(. Sure the perfect one for you will pop up soon though . I knew straight away when I saw it the car wouldn't be on sale for long and have loads of interest. So was a buy it then or loose it forever. Fuck it only live once eh. Believe it or not I didn't even tell the fiance about this till I got home. Suicide I know and down like a Lead balloon is an understatement. Luckily I can be persuasive in my own way Rear engine mount. Will look into that cheers haha KGB good sales pitch, love the enthusiasm. Once I get the keys will no doubt be looking into getting myself signed up to be a member for sure. Don't quite feel like an MPS owner yet. Mates a bit of a photographer so will be sure to get some snaps of the car once I have gave it a good inspection.
