Hi Folks, New to the forum so just thought i would say hello.. I'm going to view a 2007 Mazda 3 MPS tomorrow evening (and i will probably take it as i had one when working in Australia and loved it), is there anything in particular that i should be looking for when viewing it? welcome to the forum.
1. let it idle for 10/15mins, any signs of bluish/white smoke means the turbo seals are shot and needs replacing (new turbo)
2. these engines are quite loud/ticky, the fuel pump in particularly from the right handside of the engine as you look at it, though if it ticks on the left handside near the oil filler cap, this could mean that the VVT needs replacing. listen for any ticking/clicking for the first few seconds as its started up
other than the above just check for any normal car wear and tear

I thought the 3's where front wheel drive?
This Mazda comes with 4 Wheel Drive??

I would ask the salesmen why the front wheels keep spinning on a 4 wheel drive? I would really milk it  Car looks nice. Green wheels ftw. Or black Vvt rattle and get some tax thrown in.

They could try and claim it was AWD when they sold it and someone must have stolen the diff etc.
