Hi and welcome :mpsoc:

I'm glad you asked that question...happened a few times to me in the past few months as well. Good to have a bit of peace of mind, as I have occassionally left the car unlocked as I was worried about it going off when the baby was sleeping etc!

Wonder why Mazda did this???? How many of us pensioners even own a mobile or laptop??? :really:

Thanks for the welcomes.
Had the car for about 2 weeks now.
Only one problem with it, the alarm seems to go off every now and then.
Although I believe I've worked it out.
It seems to go off whenever I leave my mobile phone in the car.
Anyone else realised this, or had this?
Cheers again

Yeah it's a mazda thing any mobile phones left in car show a 256khz frequency and the mps sensors from the alarm pick this up and recognise a phone or laptop may be left on display and trigger the alarm.
Ahead of its time mazda.

Hi and welcome to the money pit!! Is the above true?? if so thats awsome!!

It's new technology based on the use of a flux capacitor in the alarm sensors.

Yeah but for fook sake don't ever hit 88mph with a phone turned on in the car.
