Hi all,

Just wanted to introduce myself as a new Mazda6 MPS owner. I've had it a day so far and I love it! Just to give you my driving background, my first car in 2000 was an E reg Mazda 626 1.8 LX, then two new Peugeot 206 GTIs, between 2002-2005, from 2005 till yesterday an '04 reg Peugeot 307 1.8 LX. My MPS is an 07 reg, with about 48,000 miles on the clock.

You can see from my automobile history that I'm not exactly a gearhead, and as long as it works, I'll drive it, but recently I just felt I needed something with a lot more ooomph, and the Mazda came up at the right time for a bargain price, so I couldn't resist!

I'm still getting to grips with the car, and all the techie speak on this forum and I'm very much a performance car newbie, but I learn quick, and you all seem like a nice and helpful community here. I expect to be leaning on your collective knowledge in the coming weeks and month, so do go easy on this newbie, and yes, I will search for any questions I have first. :)

Thanks for reading!

Folsy

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

@Jonholloway
I live in London, and the MPS meet sounds great! I can't make this Sat, but would be keen to meet up if anything is happening in and around the Southeast in the near future.

@Spamdo
Yes, a day with the car and about 120 miles done and I can see, it's going to cost me an arm and a leg in just fuel, never mind the modding! I look forward to discovering all of this stuff though.

Pictures soon. I just need to get the roof rack off of the car that I got from the previous owner. It spoils the lines a bit and makes the car look a bit too practical! :)

Interested in the roof rack if you don't want it and can take some pics before removal.
For my bikes, boot is awkward for them, taking bike apart etc etc.
