3 weeks on, a little update. At the risk of getting flamed, I'm really struggling to love my MPS.

maybe I did not choose well, but it whines, at certain speed vibrates/knocks (wheel bearing?), does not feel fast (although I've not gone up against anything to support this), the clutch pedal sticks a little towards the top and generally feels very "fragile". I can't afford for it to break in a major way with the warranty I've got.

add to that the little s**ts in my close who have managed to put a little dent in the side with a foot or tennis ball.

please give me hope as i look forward to driving it but I'm always let down by the experience.

the "fragile" thing is the biggest issue. its only got 30k on the clock, how common are the stories on here about rods snapping and vvt going AWOL?

VVT failure approx <5% rods around <1% I would say.

Your problems don't sound good, hopefully just minor things

Diff whine is common, vibrates at certain speeds - could be wheel balancing? It is a fast car for the £ mate, won't be many that match you, and if they do, i bet they pay double or more for the pleasure.

You could always time from 60-100 and compare with someone else on the forum... Once rolling your MPS should be really good performance considering the cost of it.

OK that's a comforting start, I don't mind if something is common/normal (I.e. diff whine) i'm just worried I've bought a dog at the moment. I'm going to come along to a meet and hopefully get a ride in another 3mps and put my demons to bed.
