Hi guys,

Just chopped in my ageing Accord Type R for Mazda 6 MPS. Hi to all you guys. Looking forward to being part of the club.

Enjoying the comfort upgrade as well as the power! Anyone got any hints how to connect MP3 player into stereo? (Not got hard drive option).

Hello & :welcome: along.

It's the xcarlink your after as above, it's about £80 or so to buy but well worth it, I've had mine for 1.5 years or so and couldn't live without it

HellI and welcome, I use the xcarlink also, plus the additional Bluetooth connector for my phone. Works a treat. I never lost any skin though :) :D

Just an update on the original post.

I had decided against the x car link, partly because of cost but mainly because I wanted connectivity to several MP3 players and x car link seems ipod biased, and use of other MP3 players seems to need you to reorganise folder structures which isn't an option on my phone.

However, have recently found this http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B006 ... escription which cost £10 and works well, allowing connection through any 3.5mm headpphone socket.

Can also get this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Plug-Gold-Pla ... 1118896027 which is cheaper but on longer lead time.

Simply plugged this into back of stereo by removing the glove box and squeezing hand behind stereo (being careful not do damage the tails going into the connector) and can now listen to music from phone via "Media" button on stereo.

Obviously this option does not allow you to change tracks from the steering wheel but in every other way this met my needs for a fraction of the cost.

Winner!
