I've said this before and I shall bore you all again :D Tax is NOT a shocker its a few extra quid a month and I really dont see the arguement to buy a different car because of the tax.

Petrol will be the biggest expense, if used a lot, and then when things go wrong e.g look at the VVT failure costs etc. CV joint on the 3 cost me over £400 as you have to buy the whole shaft, its things like this that make it expensive. BUT its a great car and if I hadn't been putting silly amounts of super unleaded in mine would happily still be running it

I get all that. Just bewilders me how I was paying £235 ish on a 380bhp Evo 5 and £400+ on an mps. If it was that bothered I wouldn't be looking at them.

Yeah definitely. Like I said, I am open to either model and would love to look around both.

I am prepared for the costs. 24 so insurance is quite cheap, and last 2 cars were Evo 5 and seat Leon cupra r mk1. I just need more room in the back for another baby seat whereas in my Leon I can't get a seat behind the drivers seat when I'm in.
It's the tax costs which are a shocker!!

So, why not have another Evo? Surely big enough & quick enough?
I considered one before the MPS but, the spoilers and "In Your Face" styling put me off the idea.......

You don't live up near The Rainbow do you? Used to see an Evo parked up near there...........

Yeah that was the one. White Evo 5. You cannot get as much in the boot of an Evo as you may think. Quite a bit of room is useless due to the brackets from the boot lid in the way. That is why I got the cupra r... Massive boot and great with 1 kid but I now have another on the way and can't get the baby seat behind the drivers. And i can't view the for sale section yet....

just after another bit of info before i go and buy one now....

how much should i set aside when i get the car to do the fuel pump internals and remap? from reading various threads it seems the fuel pump should be the first on my list just to cover myself before the modding commences
