I don't know much specifically about the MPS but it's hard to tell if a car has been mapped usually and you normally run the risk of a dealership flashing the ecu on servicing with any updates and loosing a 'map' if you have one on it. From my own personal history with cars, usually an air filter is the first thing people do but if it was myself I would try to find out if you could track down the previous owner for any information. Welcome along by the way

am like you mate, had an ST3 before the MPS, well had an Focus 1.6 tcdi inbetween the ST and MPS, think i had a grown up moment haha only thing i miss from the ST is the engine note, the 5 pot was awesome, but like u said the MPS is the better motor, quicker and nowhere near as common, everywhere i look there's an ST

Hello & along I got my car nearly 2 years ago from Doncaster I would try and speak to the garage you got the MPS from and see if they are willing to ask the previous owner as they should have the info? Other options would include getting a dealership / garage to plug in and see if the map is 'locked' like most tuners would do or possibly get a RR to see if it's kicking out more power than you would expect?
