two cats, the most commn one to remove is the 2nd cat. you will eed the first one in to pass an mot on emisions. its law now to keep both cats in for the mot but no one had any bother yet

we all just take the 2nd cat out. it will still pass the emisions. its if the mot man knows its supose to have 2 cats it will fail.

hpfp stands for high pressure fuel pump, i read on here that on the mk2 it has to be upgraded it you take the second cat out where as on the mk1 you dont.

i am running autotech hpfp internals, i bought them from gunther/total mps/xopower and he fitted them for me, It was around £300, as for your decat, any custom exhaust maker can do it for you, usually around £100 so your at £400 just there.

im sure theres another thread on this, i will have a little look.

On a mkII fuel pump will be required if you get the car tuned, should be fine with a few mods however
If in doubt get something to monitor fuel pressure to be sure it's ok.
