Bought a new MPS3, took delivery on Friday,so I've done some running in mileage over the weekend.
All I can say is that I'm happy with my choice.I've had hot hatches before, came from an Alfa Romeo 147GTA,thus far, the MPS is far better, especially in build quality, the Alfa's let down.
Ciao

They may look good but it is worthwhile reading the Alfa forums for an insight.

Welcome to the site. A friend of mine has a white 147 GTA, great looking car and sounds amazing too! Nice to know you think the MPS is better, but the GTA was designed quite a while ago, so I would expect the MPS to have moved the game on.

Just to answer a few questions.I bought the car new & it's blue in colour. In South Africa they come only as one version, full house except for the SatNav, something I would have liked to have.
In SA they also come with an extensive service & maintenance plan as standard, 5years/90000km which can be as extended as an option to 120000km/6years.I went for the option which includes road side asistance for peace of mind so it's only tyres & fuel that I need to pay for.I will do mods but software only as I wish to keep under the radar with the service plan.
I have read that one can get 280-285bhp(at the motor) with software only mods, is this true?
I'm making some calls tomorrow to tuners but it seems that it will need to be a road trip for me & a couple of days out of town as the nearest place to me for tuning is Cape Town at 700km or it's Johannesburg at 1300km.
I stay in surf city, Jeffrey's Bay, so other than surf board specialists there is not much else.
Oh, I have fitted Eibach springs which the dealer fitted & will have no negative impact to the service plan.
That's the jist of it, wish I was in the UK where it seems there is plenty of mods one can do to these cars but then we have sunshine & plenty of deserted open roads so I suppose one can never win?
Cheers for now

Be very, very careful who you entrust your MPS for tuning. These engines can blow in less than perfect hands. Read up on Hypertech and Versatuner tuning boxes on here as they may provide a better course in your situation.

Intake and hypertech = 290bhp
Versatune, intake, test pipe = 300+bhp
+pump internals = ~320bhp
+ic and downpipe = ~350bhp
