Hello all. Just thought I would put a quick hello in now as hopefully tomorrow ill be buying my self a 3 MPS. Hopefully Ive got my self a good deal. Its a Black 3 MPS late 2007 with 4k on the clock. Paying 11k for her. Anyway in the next week or so ill be enquiring to whats the best filter and exhaust system (Hopefully with decat.) Just a litte about my motoring past, my first performance car was a Mk3 Ibiza Cupra in onvi yellow. I sold that and bought a Skyline R33 GTR, but that didnt end so well. Since 2008 ive been driving around in my Land Rover Discovery, and my dads volvo v70 T5 estate. Other than that, im hopefully going to get over to England this summer for some trackday maddness. Then me and group of mates are finishing off the summer with our usual blow out at the Nurburgring in Sept. Cheers Tom

Yeah I was wondering about 11k for that age. But then when searching on the tinternet couldnt find any for the age with that kind of mileage.

Just out of intrest how much does everyone think I should be paying for this MPS. Its completely standard, 4k miles, extended warrenty and some other stuff. Im just using the general price on http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/list.asp?s=987 or autotrader.

Im just using the general price on http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/list.asp?s=987 or autotrader. its hard to say really mate, ive bought one today from a main dealer just under 15k miles had it up for 12999 which is over the odds but its a dealer and part exed mine got 11k trade in and offered him 1k cash which he took. could of sold mine for 12k but saved me the hassle of selling so took the offer but people do seem to be selling cheap for how rare they are but i intend to keep it for a few years and enjoy it. you never know they might get cult status one day and hold there price a bit i lost 6k over 2 years on my hawkeye sti

Hi and welcome. Price wise I would say thats a little high but as already said mileage is good. I paid a fair bit less than than for mine with slightly higher miles but it was when the dealers were sat around (early last year) with nothing to do and they were desperate to move something of the forecourt. I actually still felt stitched up as they said "yes" farf to quickly Good luck with whatever you decide. All i can say is Stoddies car, Stoddies car, Stoddies car.................

Had a look at Stoddies car and it looks nice, but silver is not the colour for me. Due to being on an island and importing a car from the UK will add on another £500-600 to the price. This will prob work out cheaper. The car is up for £11,995 so I could offer lower I suppose.

You can always try getting the price down of the car.

You can always try getting the price down of the car. Im going to try for £10,500 and at the most 11k. Just been looking at mods. Its nice to see the modding scene for the Mazda's, is as big as it is for VW/Audi/Seat. So expect me to be popping up in other parts of the forum. Lets just hope forge can get a move on with releasing the FMIC, the one I had on my Ibiza made a hell of a difference and the build quality was second to none. Noticed there isnt much in the choice of mapping tho.
