hi im a newbee hoping someone can help me with my last post as only just bought this car and wanted to get it sorted no one seems to have an idea of what the problem could be
has my dad and brother baffled who both have quite a bit of knowledge about cars and are mazda owners (RX7) s which are obviosly quite different to the mps 's :thumbs:

have a knocking on the rear coming from the passenger side has been into a garage but they cant find whats wrong with it

Hello and :welcome: Sorry i cant help you with your problem,but since your family have good knowledge i take it,its nothing simple.ie wheel bearing etc.Is it a 6 or a 3 and what year?

Is it deffo the rear as I thought that was my issue but was in fact play in the drive shaft

Off the top of my head I've seen drop links, springs and damper noise discussed on the forum...just throwing out ideas.

Sorry to say it but have you ensured everything in the boot is secure? Eg: Jack?

Have you tried getting in the back with the hatch cover removed and try to pin point very accurately where it is coming from. My son has a 3TS which knocked from the front passenger door. Turned out to be friction knock between the door and the frame. Diagnosed it by opening the passenger door slightly whilst driving very slowly and with obvious caution.
