Hi Guys I'm Kash from Manchester I've just been to see an MP6 and like the look of and feel of it. The owner took me for a long spin and seemed to go quite well but I was hoping someone could advise me on the problem areas on these. I've had all sort of Jap stuff (including 3 Evos) and just looking for a family car with a bit of umph Any advise would be much appreciated Cheers Kash

Potential smoking turbo - leave it on extended idle to check VVT actuator fault - rare but be aware of it as would be pricey Corroded alloys - common Rust underneath - have a good look under Paint not as good as other jap cars in my and others opinion I've had my one for 2 years without problem - really good cars if looked after

Same as mine. Do plenty of reading up on what to keep an eye on. I know that sounds negative as they are very reliable cars and fantastic vfm. Best to know the weak spots, same as anything else. Dont forget the MPSOC meets if you enjoy a good natter.

Thanks Guys. Really enjoying the car and its immaculate not a dent scratch on the bodywork absloute credit to its previous two owners garaged from new. It also benefits from FDSH and just done 39k. I've spent the weekend undersealing the chasis and cleaning polishing really happy with it. The next mods planned within 3 months Eibach lowering kit and and Stage 1 and will be asking you guys where and who to go !! Thanks Kash
