Hi all. Bought my MPS6 about 2 weeks ago. Wondering where to start with the performance and sound. It's completely standard at the moment. I just had it serviced at Mazda Had the windows tinted H&R lowering springs on the way (ordered yesterday) Currently sourcing discs and pads but then its power power power !! So just wondering where to start. Guessing induction kit with bigger pipes to the turbo? Thanks Adam

Hi welcome along. A short ram intake (sri) and a turbo inlet pipe (tip) are a good place to start. The jbr powerpath stage 2 is what I would go for. This includes the sri and tip

Cheers guys.
Right, kinda looking for the most power running safely on the standard internals. So from what i can gather is around the 350bhp mark. Please shoot me down if im wrong!
I dont feel its good value spending £300 on an induction kit, but if they sound good aid performance with no error codes then it is what it is.
Regarding mapping, whats the overall opinion? I always understood live mapping to be best as its unique to the car...
Im not worried about MOT emissions either and have seen the cat-less downpipes etc. but i dont want it to be a pig on fuel.. I appreciate you cant have it all tho. Does the double de-cat chuck up any error codes?
I know its a lot of questions and been talked over and over but it was only yesterday i read loads of posts and decided to buy coated myech discs to find out its probs the worst thing i could have done haha
So first job. The best induction kit i can get. Where is the best place to get one.
Thanks again

An induction kit doesn't just add sound, it allow more air , more fuel and air = more power. A catless downpipe throws an error but you turn that off via the remap. Sean is right, JBR is best bang for buck, along with HTP (HTP is dirt cheap)

sean wrote: JBR make the best value intake Thanks Sean, Is there anything else to get from this seller as its $60 postage. Is the balance Shift delete worth getting? for example http://www.jamesbaroneracing.com/store/ ... 98_240_201ERG blanker or DISI bypass valve? I like the mods which undo the "eco friendly" side of things to release power.. Or just start with the intake? JBR Power Path Stage II Short Ram Intake Model: MS6-0607-PPI-S2 thanks

Hello and to Perhaps you should also consider getting the REM/RMM whilst in JBR store.

The 6 doesn't get as much as an improvement from it as the 3 but it's still a worthwhile mod. The JBR one for the 6 is harsh, be warned.
