Hello all,

Bough my 2007 3 MPS aero around a month ago - it's about the first car I actually wanted to buy! In the end it came down to an MPS or a similar vintage subaru imprza wrx 5dr, and as the MPS isn't a common or obvious choice, I had to go for it. Plus there's the allure of more than the imprezas 27mpg!

I'm delighted with it - it's a relaxed cruiser, quiet, quick, and a laugh when you want it to be. It's nowhere near as alert and playful as the impreza (amazing car btw, anyone who's not had a shot should, backend like a playful dog!) - but it's grippy and exciting when you put your foot down.

I hope to do a bit of work on it - finding a bit more power up the top end so it pulls hard to red line would be nice, and a bit of bracing to stiffen to whole car up wouldn't go amiss - but nothing too extreme - 25,000 miles a year won't allow that!

Cheers

Cam

I'm getting about 32mpg on average so far - and that's still with a few exciting moments thrown in. Reckon there's another couple to find. And hey, I knew what I was buying - could've easily bought a golf TDI and spent half as much on fuel... But where's the fun in that.
