Hi everyone,

Well a bit premature but picking my Mk1 3MPS Aero up on Wednesday as long as the funds clear in time. Been keeping my eye out for a white one for a couple of months now and one popped up on pistonheads last week so i went up to view it as soon as i could. It turned out to be near mint so bought it and it's now awaiting me to drive it home. That was one long day and still recovering from the 500 mile round trip.

I was lucky to stumble upon the MPSOC and it was a massive help to me whilst looking for the right car so thanks to everyone who's contributed to it.

From reading peoples recommendations I’ve already been buying parts for it. Including the 3 gauge pod (no gauges yet), a tactrix cable ready to install versatune, detailing products (used to be a valeter so quite keen on keeping it clean) and the banjo bolt fix just incase as it was only cheap. Phoned Perry's Mazda in Preston (funnily enough the dealer to originally supply the car) to book it in for it's 3rd service a week on Wednesday if all is well. The other things were new Mazda floor mats and the Mazda rubber boot liner.

It's a big step up for me having had a Mk2 MG ZR for the past couple of years but driving my work truck (Hilux Invincible) about i needed some more speed and now milage is really low i can afford the fuel. Insurance wasn't that much of a shock as i'm only 22 but it's all hopefully worth it.
I'll make sure to detail the car, weather permitting, and then get some pictures up.

Shaun

Good bit of research you've done! Is it the white one in Ayr?

Cheers for the warm welcome guys. Yes it's the white one in Aye which was one long way for me and another long trip tomorrow to pick it up.
Plans so far are to get the small dent in the rear n/s door removed by an excellent PDR guy that i know, then get it back upto full health with the service and see where i stand in terms of power and do a few power upgrades. The aim is stage 2 by the end of next year i think  it's already fitted with an AEM intake so the further plans are
1. Gauges to keep an eye on things
2. Versatune
3. Fuel pump internals
4. Turbo back corksport or miltek exhaust system
5. FMIC
6. Lots of new front tyres : eek2 :

What's the most popular blow off valve, from what I've been reading would i be right in saying the Forge item? But which one?

Just for reference because i want it as near to original as possible what's the original colour of the wheels on my Mk1 3MPS? They're currently anthracite but I might think about changing them if they're not right.

U might wanna save some money and just go for the corksport 3" downpipe first. Then if u want u can go for catback.
Changing the downpipe gets biggest gains. And get some hpfp, either kmd internals or autotech hpfp

On the late 08-09 cars, they got shadow chrome alloys, black alcantara seat centres and piano black dash. There's photos of mine on here somewhere, I would link you to tthem but I'm on my phone and its a pita!!

Nice purchase. You beat me to it, I was going to view this car and I'm in Northern Ireland! Looking forward to seeing your progress with it.
Also found some background info and pictures of the car. See here with the original alloy colour:
