Hi all. Wanted to say hello. I am a car enthusiast for all cars that deserve it however I have had a vendetta against high powered fwd cars since I was old enough to own/insure a subaru impreza and haven't owned fwd since. That being said I had been tasked to find a nice family car that the Mrs could learn to drive in as we are expecting our first and she needs to be mobile. I settled on a hot hatch and the mazda in particular called out to me as even with more performance with most was only 800 for the year to insure her as a learner!! Found a nice, well looked after model with all the timing and everything done, and with modarate mods to around 300bhp and only 60k at a steal so the adventure started. I am astonished by the performance, it is nearly as aggresive as an impreza typer r (2 door classic which weighs about 1200kg and has a highly rear end bias center diff) I owned running in excess of 350bhp. Needless to say the wife was eqally unimpressed and deemed it too fast especially with the up coming precious cargo. However I am that taken with the little mazda im selling my current bmw 335i and I'm going to run it as a budget track car for the summer. I can't believe how well it puts the power down and how hard it pulls. I can't wait to see how it performs with some suspension tweaks. Anyway for anyone that's stuck through it thanks for reading my essay (the wrong side of too many cognacs at lol) and I look forward to seeing and updating on how the little hatch progresses. Thanks, Alex

Welcome mate. You've made the right choice of getting one. Does it have the aero kit on it?
