Hi all new member from Southampton. Loving the 6, having come from a Leon cupra r I love how it can be a very sedate car on the commute. But when you out your foot down it flys! Taking a while to get used to the semi awd after coming from a fwd hot hatch!

But when you out your foot down it flys! Taking a while to get used to the semi awd after coming from a fwd hot hatch! Welcome along. The 6 is more accurately a front wheel drive that has the ability to transfer up to 50% of its power to the rear wheels in a split second. Cruising along it is fwd, more or less. The 6 should be described as variable wheel drive, VWD, not AWD. Different to a 4WD which drives all 4 wheels permanently. The 6 is amazing in adverse weather. Superb traction where it works out where to apply the power.

Uhh right didn't know it was fwd while cruising, would this be why I get the feeling of understeer momentarily when I throw it into a corner?

Till you br al past that point, then its tail happy but in a controllable way, awesome fun when you get it right
