Tbh hpfp will probably next on the cards after the sri+tip are fitted. Will I be able to achieve 300bhp without it, or is this unlikely?

You'll be there or there abouts without the hpfp internals! It's recommend that you get internals so you can hold fuel pressure better at that stage. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong or missing something.

Can't wait till my jbr parcel arrives, get that fitted with the banjo bolt from total-mps I've already got, and go to the next OTS map on the cobb. Although once I need the hpfp, I'll be giving Gunther a call for a custom map. What is/are the benefit(s) of fitting a banjo bolt over the standard bolt? and when should it be done? Sorry to high-jack your thread Biglegg

No probs Benz. I've been told that it restricts oil flow to the turbo which helps the turbo oil seals as they can over-pressurise and fail.
Although some of the guys here will probably explain it a whole lot better!

Thank you Richie.
Got a question for you guys... The jbr 3" intake and tip I'm purchasing will need a remap apparently, the ques is will I be able to use an OTS cobb map suitable for sri + tip? Or will I need a custom tune?

The intake wont need a remap , just an ECU recalibration .I made a thread about this the other day http://www.mpsowners.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=16723 (link opens in new window)

Seeing as you have Cobb, a new maf cal will be the thing to do. You have to multiply your current table by the difference of the air coming in This link will help..... http://www.mazdaspeedforums.org/forum/f ... al-121334/So In order to develop a scalar for a larger than stock intake diameter, you must take the (New MAF Cross-Sectional Area) and divide (/) it by the (Stock MAF Cross Sectional Area). __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ ______ You already know the cross section of the MAF housing is a circle and the area of a circle can is derived as (pi*r^2). Another derivation of this formula is (pi*d^2)/(4). When deviding the two cross sections, pi and all other constants will cancel. Therefor, all you need to do is take the square of the new MAF Diameter and divided it by the square of the stock MAF diameter. Simple as that. Example Scalar: You decide to upgrade to a 3" intake (76.2mm). The stock MAF housing is 66.5mm diamter (2.61811"). You can either convert millimeters to inches or inches to millimeters, the choice is yours. (76.2^2) / (66.5^2) = 1.313 Take 1.313 and multiply it by the entire MAF curve. Now you are ready to start your MAF Calibration. This is ONLY for vehicles with a larger than stock intake installed. This is only an example for a 3" intake.
