A drive on my own in the black beast last weekend, just like galloping off on a stallion ! Just you and him............. Also I have not stalled it on the last few trips! thanks to the clutch adjustment and as you say just getting used to it. I am only using it at weekends at the moment and even then it may only be a 2 mile trip! So the more I drive the better it gets . I just got back off holiday, opened the garage and said hello you beast ! ha ha ha. and there was I thinking I would never better my V6 323F.

Wait until you try it out in winter conditions. The awd system keeps you going where other cars just spin up.

I tend not to go out in snow and ice, but where I live now you can only get out in a 4WD (sometimes) if the weather is bad so it may well get used!

Even though I live in a city, our house is up a hill which regularly catches out Mercs and BMs. No problem with the 6.

Mollyolly wrote: I HAVE BONDED!! Funny that I went up to my car today to load in a bit of luggage and had the same thought!! I had a very bad time when I first got my car and was kicking myself for buying this particular one. After spending over 1K on proper maintenance and a few long journeys ( I live in the Highlands BTW) in all weather conditions, the car has grown on me to the point that I decided to wash it yesterday after 7mths ownership LOL!! I am now getting ready to take my family (5 of us with kids all under 6) plus luggage on 10 day road trip in the MPS 6. Not very significant you might say but my other car is a 7 seater Toyota Previa D-4D so is for most purposes more suited for the road trip
