They only charge if you want your own app, you can use their app for free mate. Ive got it on 2 of my forums :)

Do you have automod installed? If so its a piece of cake to install if you do decide to do so :)

Can someone clear up the vvt chain issue for me? Is this common with MPS's to go around 60k? Having the Sport and hence a chain, mines hit 100k with no problems and I've not heard of chain problems on other 6's other than the 2nd gen diesels stretching.
