I am very proud to have a relatively rare car and such a beauty. I have only seen one parked up in Petworth since I found out about MPS'. My brother has a Smart Roadster and my partner has a TVR Chimeara. We were wondering which one, these days is the rarest seen on the road.

I see loads of smart roadster
So it's a down to mps and TVR for rarest

Tvr chimaera. Currently 2100 on the road, from maximum of 4200
Mps3. Currently 1267 on the road, this is the max.
Mps6. Currently 955 on the road, from 1000 max.

Figures aren't completely accurate as sometimes vehicles get registered incorrectly.

For rarity you want a 6 :)

When i was looking around to buy a 6, there werent that many. Some seem to stay unsold on garage forecourts for months and months and months, they look good, wonder why they dont sell? unless its a clutch issue of course!
I did take bit of a gamble when I bought mine. From a private seller who was about to move house, he took us out for a test drive and pretty much thrashed it down the carriage way at excessive speed, it was dirty and needed a good valet, no care involved in the sale and its black which my boyfriend said, "it will show up all the dirt dust and scratches, you dont want black". I had a 5 minute drive of it myself and really just relied on my mates opinion who is a mechanic. But having owned 2 mazdas before, I sort of knew how it would feel and handle. I paid £4250 for mine. But I am loving it more and more each time I drive it.
Now its extra special being rare!

The rarity is a good thing, however there is a fair few of the owners on here (and mps owners not on here) around the greater manchester area

But you are right, on my work each day i pass at least 4 focus ST's (these things today are like Saxo's were ten years ago, bloody everywhere and still too slow) and 3 or 4 Type R's, its good knowing the mazda's are rare

How many of those 3 mps's are gen I and gen II though?? Surely that would make either of those rarest if it's a decent split?? :mosh:
