I can vouch that clutch can be a problem, even the clutch in the 3 can be a pain in the arse sometimes...

Mazda finally sorted the clutch for those 6MPS built after July 2006. No 3MPS should therefore have a clutch problem.

I didnt mean that its a problem in my 3 just that it can be a pain sometimes, as in the bite, its either on or off and not so gradual or forgiving as some cars that ive owned/driven.....

If your take point is relatively high, it might be worth lowering it a bit using the prescribed method. Won`t change the bite but will make it more controllable.

Clutch has been adjusted and wow, yes what a difference it makes. Can't believe it. I am now much happier and am bonding quickly with the car. Had a great drive yesterday to Goodwood. It seems that mine was the only MPS on a Mazda on Track day! Although mine was safely parked in the carpark !
Have hardly used the fast pedal yet, I just squeeze my toes and off it goes ! yet to see how quick it really is....... did have some flashing blue lights come up behind me on my way home, and breathed a sigh of relief as it went straight by !

You really need to start using that lead foot of yours  that way you'll really bond with the car!

Glad you sorted the clutch height adjustment OK. I just wonder how many new car sales Mazda lost in 2006 because of the clutch on the MPS. Try different tyre pressures also. I like 39 for the front and 42 for the rear. Feels better in the corners.

I am very proud to have a relatively rare car and such a beauty. I have only seen one parked up in Petworth since I found out about MPS'. My brother has a Smart Roadster and my partner has a TVR Chimeara. We were wondering which one, these days is the rarest seen on the road.
