Hello everyone, Been a bit of a lurker but thought I would introduce myself. If you hadn't guessed my name is Paul, work as an IT Technician and been into cars since I was able to get my hands into the engine bay to retrieve lost bolts for my dad! Had quite a varied amount of cars since passing my test, mostly they have been Rovers in one form or another with Metros being the primary car of choice. I still have one of my metros, fitted with a 1.8 VVC engine(around 150bhp) which used to be my daily for uni but now has been retired and will be my track toy next year hopefully. Looked into quite a few different cars before buying my 3. Mainly was performance cars such as VXR's, ST's, Imprezas etc but none really won me over like the little mazda did. Had in mind to get a 6 MPS due to the AWD and cruise control but after going in one I found it felt quite large to maneuver(coming from a 5.2 meter car) and my arse didn't really fit the seat too well either. Anyway, enough babbling, on with the 3! Its a 2008 mk1 in Cosmic Blue with 28k on the clocks, FSH and totally immaculate. Came in under budget quite considerably and as soon as I sat in the car I just felt comfy in it without needing to adjust anything. Bit of bad news with the car, back at the garage atm with problems with 2nd gear, rattles from the engine bay and the car wandering.
Good news I have an MX5 as a courtesy car which is soooo much fun to drive!
