Hi Guys, I'm most likely going to be selling my DC5 at the start/mid of next year and I quite fancy either a MK1 MPS3 or a MPS6. Cannot decide though! Keen to speck a fairly modded MPS when the time comes cheers

welcome, i personally would go for the 6 as i came from a dc2 myself. Totally different car, i rekon you'd be comparing the 3 and dc5 too much.

Just something fast and understated is what I am looking for, reasonably relaible and rare ish. In the past i've owned a starlet gt turbo,200bhp glanza V and now my DC5 so you can see im quite a jap fan I do like the look of the MPS3 over the 6 but how do they can compare in terms of speed? I had a dark navy mk1 MPS come up my arse in town today, nice car-just a shame about the owner- hence why I looking to move to a more refined car. I'm constantly getting people to race me, I have 9 points!

Having had my prelude and frequently driving my mates atr and s2k I really don't think there's all that much to compare as they are chalk and cheese apart from the mps in terms of handling, power delivery etc.as for ride quality I'd say the mps isn't as harsh and both the 6 and 3 probably have more space and extras as to the Honda's.

If you want a truly understated MPS then I'd say the 3 is more so than the 6, plainly due to the 6 have twin exhaust. The 3 is faster when rolling, but off the mark the 6 is quicker due to being able to launch 4wd, which also gives it the advantage in wet/snow etc. But if your going down the modding route then either could be as quick as each other. The real difference in speed really is down to you, the driver, but 9 points, not a wise car to get haha. Good luck though mate. Wow, I just gave some decent advise and not spam, I must be ill?? I feel a proud moment from deltalimamike coming

hi and welcome to the forum. biesed of course but i love my 3, rare, understated and quick and handles really really well with the goodyears on. Depends how far you want to mad, 300bhp is achieved fairly easy. the 6 4wd is an advantage in the damper condition yes but that doesnt stop me loving the 3. in the dry its quick.

Just remember the 6 is getting older and may need more attention. Also think about the extra things that can go wrong such as the rear diff etc. Just my opinion, but i personally wouldnt choose a 6. Although if you wear slippers, smoke a pipe and only drive the car to get your pension and your little blue pills from the doctors, the 6 is the car for you
