Yeah I've emailed asking what stamps and recipts its got with it. 4 new tyres and new brakes, and 1 owner since Mid 2006 so I would imagine its been looked after. I've always taken my subarus to specialists, rather than dealers and usually changed the engine oil every 3-4k.
My heart tells me I want a black one, but I hate keeping them looking clean, again my subarus were silver or grey
I'll see how it sounds once he replies tomorrow, and I might call up there as I'm off work until weds!

Go see a velocity red. I vowed never ever to buy a red car unless I could one day afford a Ferrari. But I went to see a Velocity Red MPS locally and it looked stunning.
You seem pretty keen to find the perfect MPS so I'd try and see them all.

Not a fan of red for some reason. Looked at a grey 07 plate today, needed a good clean but I think once its fully cleaned up it would tick the box, dark enough to have a deep shine and still easy(ish) to keep swirl free

Thanks for warm welcome off everyone. Looks like theres some good info on here, need to look into a few things a bit closer once I get a MPS. I'm going to have a look at the 55plate thats for sale at Prestige Performance http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3751968.htm on Sunday hopefully. Was hoping to sell my Focus private and use my spare car until I found a good replacement, but this 1 looks pretty good so far.

Hi and to the club Coop wrote: Air Intake + Turbo inlet Pipe at the front, and 2nd decat plus Versatune or garage map should see you approach 300BHP if not pass it for less than £1k. Closer to £700 depending on what you go for!!! If you want to run 300hp and upwards and keep reliability in mind I would suggest adding either downpipe or uprated TMIC/FMIC and fuel pump internals to that list. People want high numbers without considering how hard the turbo will be working as well as exhaust gas temps that if too high will cause engine damage over time. BTW..... I don't do reliable EDIT: Nothing wrong with red!

With the MPS there is so much room across the rev range for added increases in bhp and torque and so the peak number, as always means sod all really (unless you can hold that peak figure from 3000-6000rpm ). I would say that you could map a bog standard MPS to 290ish bhp and the car will feel like a beast still.

Yeah pretty much the same as tuning impreza's. I've still got a Forge FMIC that I kept back when I sold my scooby. Hopefully I can get some pipework made up for it to fit the MPS. Always had walbro 255lph fuel pumps in the scoobies, which have been fine at 360bhp. Not 100% what to do with the MPS when I get one, probably just do 2nd decat, custom exhaust, SRI and a remap to start with and see how things feel. Need to see what the gearbox's are like before thinking about bigger power and forged internals. Even fully forged I doubt it would be in the league the Evo was in! Ran 384/390 on Area52's Dyno
